What is PLEAC

The Public Legal Education Association of Canada - PLEAC - is a nation-wide, non-profit organization of individuals and organizations established to promote all aspects of public legal education.

PLEAC was founded in 1987 and is the only grassroots network of law and justice educators in Canada.

The Objectives of the Public Legal Education Association of Canada:

  • To support and advance communication among people interested in public legal education
  • To encourage cooperation and collaboration
  • To promote the development of the discipline of public legal education
  • To develop opportunities for professional development in public legal education
